The first 24 hours after birth can feel overwhelming. Your body is recovering, you may be exhausted, and suddenly you are responsible for a tiny baby who depends on you for everything.

  • Icon Baby Bottle Lavender How will I know if my baby is feeding well?
  • Icon Baby Bottle Lavender Do I have enough milk?
  • Icon Question Lavender Can I prepare for breastfeeding before my baby arrives?
  • Icon Question Lavender What if breastfeeding doesn’t go to plan?
  • Icon Baby Bottle Lavender How will I know my baby is getting enough milk?

You probably have lots of questions — and that’s completely normal.

This workshop is designed to answer these questions before your baby arrives.

You will learn what is normal in the first hours and days after birth, how to recognize feeding cues and how to build confidence in your milk supply.

We will also explore comfortable feeding positions, including practical solutions for mothers recovering from a Caesarean birth.

I will tell you how antenatal colostrum collection can provide reassurance and support during the early days, giving you confidence that your baby can receive those precious first drops while you recover and rest.

You will have the opportunity to practice newborn care skills, including nappy changing and handling your baby, so that you feel more prepared before birth.

Most importantly, you will leave with a realistic understanding of newborn behavior, feeding patterns and what your baby truly needs during those first crucial 24 hours. When you know what is normal, you worry less and you rest more.
