 Dear Parents-to-Be

My name is JD and I’m truly honoured to walk this path  with you as you prepare to meet your baby. I  am not just an antenatal educator, biologist , registered midwife working at hospital, my most important role is be a Mother.

I’m a midwife with over 20 years of experience, most of it spent supporting women and families on the delivery suite during some of the most important moments of their lives. Alongside my midwifery work I also have a background in biology and I use this knowledge every day to help parents-to-be understand their bodies, their babies and the journey ahead.

I am Mum who faced the same challenges, doubt and questions that every new parent experiences. I’ve learned through trying, listening and growing — just like you will. My own journey into motherhood helps me be better midwife.

I’m passionate about giving honest, kind and practical care — and I truly love teaching others how to feel confident, informed and empowered.

 Every day I learn something new from my patients and my own child and that helps me become not only a better midwife but also a better Mother.

 Because birth matters and how you feel during birth stays with You.
